{20} A little bit of what you fancy…

Written By: AnneBH - Sep• 21•11

Well sometimes a lot of what you fancy does you a whole lot of good too. 20 days to go today and I feel absolutely fantastic! After a morning of life as Anne-the-printer,  I transformed myself  into Anne-options-trader spent the afternoon riding the surf of a volatile stock market. I know a lot of people think it is quite a risky business but so far I seem to be picking my dance steps with this particular crocodile.
Today my prayed-about idea was to work on a painting I began a couple of evenings ago. So after hanging up my trading specs, I donned my smock and picked up my brushes and boy have I had a blast!! I am really pleased with this latest painting and can’t wait to unveil it on this site so please be patient.

I feel super blessed today.

In the absence of the latest painting, here is one I prepared a few years ago.  It has won an award and is one of my favourites.

Stay blessed.

Fantastic! Fantastic! Fantastic! I love it when you talk about your ‘painting hibernation’: it reminds me of a cranky, burnt-out bear lumbering into his cave to rest/REINVENT/refresh/rejuvenate himself! Hibernation during the overwhelmingly dark, chilling season serves 2 purposes:
    1. There could be nothing more delicious that snuggling up in the cosy closeness of your cave, cuddled up against those you love, adore and cherish. There is perhaps nothing more comforting and energising than Pleasure: it is luxurious and beautiful: nourishment for our tired, sore hearts.
    2. Hibernation prepares the animals and seeds for the magnificence of Spring: an explosion of colour, life, love and abundance!
Biology lesson explained: One day, there was a cranky ol’ bear called Anne, who roamed and lumbered and grumbled around her part of the forest where, despite all of her wild efforts to stop the inevitability of Autumn, the leaves continued to fall – feeling more like bombs dropping into her darkening life than the natural, God-ordained rain of gold and russets: the curtain call for Summer, and the herald for a new season: The Paradox of Winter. A time to die and say goodbye: GETTING RID OF THE OLD TO MAKE SPACE FOR THE NEW. (Gosh, I’m really rambling on here…)
Anyway: Anne realises the leaves are going to fall anyway – and that Spring, too, is inevitable, and that now she must rest, reinvent and rejuvenate herself in preparation for an unrelentlingly exuberant Spring.
    (Oops – hope that wasn’t wildly unnecessary/OTT??)
